Hi! My name is Carma, and I’ve worked with Dr. Ali since 2004. I started working in the kennel at Alma Animal Hospital just a few months after it opened, and gradually started learning more of the technician side. I currently work mostly at our new 121 location, but I still enjoy going back to my old “stomping grounds” when I can. I really enjoy working closely with our patients, as well as getting to know their stories and meeting their families. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, which is why when we were younger, my sister and I would bring home any type of creature we thought was in need of assistance. I believe that pets have the ability to bring love into anyone’s heart, and it is up to us to ensure their well-being, just as they do for us. I understand that each one brought into the clinic is playing a very important role in someone’s life. My future goal is to bring my hands on experience to school, and continue my veterinary technology education. But in between working and learning, I like to read all kinds of books, play Tetris, go to concerts and movies, drink smoothies, or just enjoy the company of my 4 legged companions.
My name is Bethany Serrano and I have worked with Dr. Ali since November 2006. I am married to someone who understands and shares my love for animals and we have a son. I have always loved animals so being a technician made sense. Growing up I was blessed with parents who also loved them so there was never a shortage of pets in our house. We had everything from dogs, birds to even a goat. As an adult I continue to surround myself with animals. We currently have a Pit bull named Veda Bear, a mixed breed named Dirk Sandwich and a Yorkie mix named Tater Tot.
Hello, my name is Cindy and I joined Alma Animal Hospital team in January of 2007. I was fortunate to have realized that my passion lies with caring for animals in need. My family consists of my husband, two wonderful children and our two rescued dogs named Clyde and Kota. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching movies, traveling and spending time with my family.
My name is Courtney Axton, and I am a receptionist at the Alma Animal Hospital location in Allen. I have worked with Dr. Ali since November of 2007. I have 12+ years experience in the veterinarian field, beginning as a technician then moving into reception and customer service. I have always had a love for animals and was lucky to have parents that felt the same way. Growing up we had horses, pigs, goats, dogs, and cats. Currently I have an 11 year old maltese named Vinnie, an 18 month old minature schnauzer named Reeci Rae, a 16 year old manx named Dr. Spock, and a 7 year old DSH named Ritzy Kitzy. In my spare time I enjoy reading and listening to rock n roll music.
My name is Chris and I was born and raised in Plano, Texas where I currently reside with my son and daughter. I have been with the Alma & 121 Animal Hospitals since February 2010. I have worked in the veterinary industry since middle school and have always had a great amount of satisfaction from caring for animals. I have several pets of my own, including a bloodhound mix, a terrier mix, two Chihuahuas and two cats. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing video games and watching movies.
Hello, my name is Dr. Mahmoud Kabiri, and I am 31 years old form Iran. I love animals and I have had just about every kind that you can imagine, from dogs and cats to all kinds of avian, snakes, hamsters, and crocodile babies. My passion for aquatics and exotic animals is the reason I started my education to become a veterinarian. I started at my Veterinary University in 2000-2001 and graduated in 2006-2007. After that I began work at a Veterinary pharmaceutical company for almost 4 years. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities, going to movies, and getting together with friends. Right now I am preparing myself to take and pass the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical association) exams that will allow me to work as a licensed Veterinarian in the United States.
Though born and raised in Texas, I recently finished school at Brigham Young University-Idaho; receiving a bachelors in Animal Science as well as an AAS in Veterinary Technology. I am working towards becoming a certified technician. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, horseback riding, practicing my meager photography skills, learning about animal behavior and speaking in silly accents. I love food, but Tex-Mex and most anything with curry in it are my favorites. I currently do not have any pets, but I aspire to adopt a rescue dog or two in the future.
Animals are more than companions; they are part of our family and can only show their love by actions and the occasional argumentative bark. Taking care of family is always forefront in our days and priorities; you always want your animals to be as healthy as possible and to look as best as possible, for their happiness and your peace of mind. My name is Marcelo and I have been working at Alma Animal Hospital for 8 years and have been a Groomer since 2005, with experience in grooming both dogs and cats. My family, my pets and I moved from Argentina to the United States in 2004 and have been living in Allen, TX since then. My wife and I foster and work with the rescue group Society for Companion Animals; since most of our extended family are rescues we like to help as much as we can to find home to those who need them. Currently our house has more animals than humans, with three cats- Homeless, Bagira and Carolina- and five dogs –Kiara, Chocolate, Zorro, Angel and Hope- plus our human kids we have a full house! Please feel free to contact our location in Allen if you would like to schedule either a consultation or an appointment, I am always there in case you would like to meet and discuss anything related to your animals.
